Tech Connect for Older Adults seeks to empower participants 50 and better to understand and utilize the ever growing world of technology. The benefits of technology for older adults is endless.
Whether you are a beginner looking for an introduction to technology or an experienced user with technical questions about your cell phone, tablet, or computer, we are here to help. From scheduling doctors appointments, to chatting with loved ones, to researching hobbies and activities, the information is out there, and we can’t wait to help participants find it.
Senior Planet Training (in association with AARP)
Beginning October, the TechConnect Staff will be offering an array of Senior Planet training in the form of Explore Tech Lectures. These programs include one-off lectures that introduce popular tech topics and themes clearly and concisely. Individual lectures aim to explain the general purpose of a device or concept, its usefulness, and valuable tips and tricks. Lectures do not offer hands-on exposure to the presented topic and are limited to 25 participants.
Our Interactive Workshops allow participants to practice using a website or app already introduced in a lecture. Workshops are led by a trainer and offer hands-on activities. Workshops will run for about 75-90 minutes and be capped at 10 participants
