| VITA | Volunteer Income Tax Assistance It’s that time of year again. Time to file your taxes! Do not be a victim of for-profit tax services that charge excessive fees. Take advantage of the Social Development Commission (SDC)’s FREE Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program! Starting January 31, 2022, SDC will begin providing free tax preparation to Milwaukee families and individuals. To qualify for SDC’s VITA services, your household income must be $66,000 or less per year. SDC’s VITA program is operating in alternative ways due to the COVID-19.
