For low-income and disabled home owners, this non-profit origination offers repairs of sagging roofs, leaky pipes, railing, peeling paint, rotting steps and other items of disrepair.
HOMEOWNERS: Rebuilding Together Greater Milwaukee (RTGM) is an organization in which skilled and unskilled volunteers repair homes for low-income elderly or disabled residents who are unable to repair or afford the work themselves. Our concerns are safety, security, and independence of the homeowner. If your home is chosen as a project site, all repairs will be completed free of charge. However, we ask that you and/or any able-bodied member of your household participate alongside volunteers to complete repairs to best of your/their ability. Rebuilding Together Greater Milwaukee’s (RTGM) Program Manager and Construction Manager select projects based on need and available resources. Not all requested projects are approved. RTGM GUIDELINES: Homeowner of a single family home or jointly owned duplex home where both owners live and qualify in Milwaukee or Waukesha County. (No apartments, rental property, partly rented duplexes or mobile homes) |
