The Adult Day Center is a safe, structured and nurturing environment where a loved one can enjoy the social interaction of peers, while providing caretakers and families the freedom they need. Whether that means go to work, run errands, visit a doctor or friend, or simply take time to yourself; you can feel comfortable leaving your loved one in our care. At the Adult Day Center, we understand what it takes to care for a loved one with the beginnings of dementia and the emotional needs of a socially isolated adult.
Hours
8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday
All of our services are tailored to your needs. Whether it’s just a few hours or all day— we work out an individual care plan for each person.
Who Can Attend?
The Jewish Senior Living Adult Day Center is open to the community and those from all faith backgrounds. We cater especially to seniors who are in the early stages of memory loss or desiring social interaction. You can fill out an application online or download a PDF.
Activities
The ADC regularly offers painting and cooking classes, wellness and exercise programs, guest lectures, comedians, musical performances, holiday celebrations and programs for all interests. To view our planned activities, visit our activities calendar. You will find our activities encourage life-long learning and growth— both physical and spiritual.
As part of the program, the family or caregiver will also receive a monthly letter including the activities calendar. Our families and caregivers often find the activities calendar helpful in choosing which days will be more meaningful for their loved ones to attend— and offers a conversation touch point at the end of the day.
Amenities
The newly-renovated Adult Day Center centers around a comfortable living room setting, with additional rooms to socialize, meditate or relax. Our special amenities include a full-sized piano for residents to play or listen to a performance, a community fridge, comfortable recliners and a checkers table.
Nourishment
A daily kosher lunch is provided to members in the Chai Point Dining Room or within the Adult Day Center dining area. Healthy kosher snacks are also available. Special care is taken to adhere to the dietary needs of the ADC members.
