No, you do not have to log in to use the directory. However, you will need to have an account to leave a review on a business or report an issue.
Listings contained in the Love Thy Neighbor Directory come from a variety of sources. They may be known national, state or local agencies; trusted nonprofits that serve our community; or businesses that have chosen to be included in the directory. Some listings are managed by the Love Thy Neighbor Foundation, while others are managed by the business or organization themselves (called “claimed listings”).
To leave a review on a business’s or organization’s listing, you must log in to the Love Thy Neighbor website. Search to navigate to the company’s listing, scroll to the “Rate us and Write a Review” section toward the bottom of the page, then complete your review and click “submit”. All review are subject to approval, so your review will not show up right a way.
We encourage people to first work with the listing company directly to resolve any issues. If the listing company is unresponsive or uncooperative, we encourage you to leave a review on the its listing then click the “Report Listing” button in the right hand column of the listing (you’ll have to be logged in to do this). This will alert Love Thy Neighbor staff to review and, if necessary, remove the listing from the directory. While we will not be able to issue refunds on behalf of the listing company, reviewing and reporting listings help prevent others from having a similar bad experience.
When you report a listing, Love Thy Neighbor is alerted and the listing is flagged in the site. That means we will review the listing, fix errors or contact the listing owner to fix errors. We may remove a listing if it has been reported multiple times and those reports are found to be valid or indicative of business practices that do not align with LTNF’s values.
You can easily add a new listing from navigation bar of the main site or within your account dashboard.
If you have any questions about creating, editing or enhancing your listing, please contact us.
When you find your business listing page, click the “Claim Now” link in the right hand column. A pop-up window will prompt you for verification details. This can be a photo of your business card a link to a social post, anything that can verify your connection with the business listed.
After verifying internally, you’ll be able to remove or edit your listing as you choose.
